The 2nd Annual Philadelphia Independent Film Festival, June 25-28, 2009 is now accepting film submissions from around the globe.
February 24, 2009, Philadelphia, PA: The 2nd Annual Philadelphia Independent Film Festival taking place in the artistic neighborhood of Northern Liberties from June 25th – 28th, 2009, is now accepting film submissions at http://www.philadelphiaindependentfilmfestival.com/ until April 29th.
If you are a film student and would like to submit to the 2nd Annual Philadelphia Independent Film Festival, there are three registration deadlines, which are March 21 for regular registration, April 1st for late registration, and April 29th for the extended registration. You can submit your film project at http://www.philadelphiaindependentfilmfestival.com We were honored to bring last year’s program to you and showcase the national and global independent film community. There were screenings of 151 movies, 51 of which were World Premiers. Filmmakers traveled from Bulgaria, England, Japan, Holland, and Argentina to screen and showcase their work, with over 60 filmmakers in attendance. Films were screened at 7 venues over 4 days. In addition to the Northern Liberties community, the City of Philadelphia and surrounding areas were gracious hosts. The amount of support that we received from filmmakers, audience goers, the press/media, and our sponsors was tremendous. Our hope for this annual festival is to provide a global and local cultural exchange that encompasses, recognizes, and celebrates independent filmmaking as a flourishing art form, here in Philadelphia and from around the world. We look forward to reviewing your submissions and seeing you in the City of Philadelphia for a sizzling summer film festival.
