Insurgency of Ambition
Dir: Anya Belkina
Website: anyabelkina.com
"The illusion of success lures a man to the very threshold of glory only to unsheathe its true, frightening nature as he gets within reach. Conceived in the wake of short lived military successes in Iraq, the film questions the relevance of "victory" memes at the time of globalization. Operating on a more intimate level, it ponders the cost of anyone's unrestrained personal ambitions."
Dancer and the Red Ball
Dir: Tony Cammarata
A prima ballerina's debut is interrupted by a red ball.
